How Many men Killed on Hamburger Hill Vietnam?

The Battle of Hamburger Hill, or Operation Apache Snow, took place from May 10–20, 1969, during the Vietnam War, near the Laotian border in the A Shau Valley. The fighting involved elements of the U.S. 101st Airborne Division and the North Vietnamese People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN).

The battle was one of the most controversial and costly engagements of the Vietnam War. The fighting was intense, and the casualties were high on both sides. The U.S. military claimed that they had killed over 1,000 PAVN soldiers during the battle but acknowledged that they had suffered heavy losses.

According to the Department of Defense, 72 U.S. soldiers were killed in action during the Battle of Hamburger Hill.

The battle has been the subject of much debate and discussion. Some argue that it was a pointless waste of life and resources. Others argue that it was a necessary operation to prevent the PAVN from using the A Shau Valley as a base for operations. Regardless of the perspective, the Battle of Hamburger Hill was a significant event in the Vietnam War.
