The Bantu people

The Bantu peoples, or simply the Bantu, are an ethnolinguistic group native to sub-Saharan Africa. They originate as speakers of the Bantu languages, part of the Niger–Congo family. Historically, the Bantu-speaking peoples have been inhabiting a large area of Central, Eastern, Southern and Southeast Africa, and have developed diverse cultures, traditions and languages.
