What caused the loss of Spanish Armada?

1. Bad weather

The Spanish Armada was hit by a series of storms as it sailed up the English Channel. These storms damaged many of the ships and made it difficult for them to maneuver.

2. Lack of supplies

The Spanish Armada was also running low on supplies, such as food and ammunition. This made it difficult for the Spanish to fight effectively against the English ships.

3. Superior English ships

The English ships were faster and more maneuverable than the Spanish ships. This allowed the English to avoid the Spanish gunfire and attack the Spanish ships from a distance.

4. The English "fire ships"

The English used a tactic called "fire ships" to great effect against the Spanish Armada. Fire ships were old ships that were filled with gunpowder and set on fire. They were then sailed into the middle of the Spanish fleet, where they exploded and caused massive damage.

5. The Spanish loss of morale

The Spanish were demoralized by the bad weather, the lack of supplies, and the English attacks. They also knew that they were outnumbered and outgunned by the English. This lack of morale made it difficult for the Spanish to fight effectively.

These were the main factors that caused the loss of the Spanish Armada.
