What kind of countries needed war reparation after World War 1?

The Allied victors demanded reparations from Germany and its allies after World War I. Germany was required to pay reparations under the Treaty of Versailles. The reparations were to be paid over a period of 30 years. The reparations were a heavy burden on the German economy and contributed to the economic problems that led to the rise of the Nazi Party.
