Where is gonorrhea most common in the world?

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that gonorrhea is most common in the Western Pacific Region, which includes countries such as China, Japan, and Australia. In 2016, an estimated 78 million new cases of gonorrhea occurred worldwide, with an estimated 19 million cases in the Western Pacific Region. Other regions with a high incidence of gonorrhea include sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.
