How did the united nations propose to govern palestine after british decided end their mandate in region?

In 1947, the United Nations proposed to govern Palestine after the British decided to end their mandate in the region. The proposal was known as the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine (UN Resolution 181), and it called for the creation of two independent states: a Jewish state and an Arab state. The city of Jerusalem was to be placed under international control.

The partition plan was accepted by the Jewish Agency for Palestine, but it was rejected by the Arab Higher Committee, the leading Palestinian Arab political body. The plan was also opposed by some Arab states, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Syria.

The partition plan was implemented on 15 May 1948, the day after the British Mandate for Palestine ended. The Jewish state declared independence, and the Arab states immediately invaded. The 1948 Arab-Israeli War lasted for about a year and resulted in the defeat of the Arab states. The new state of Israel occupied most of the territory that had been allocated to the Jewish state under the partition plan, as well as some of the territory that had been allocated to the Arab state.

The partition plan has been a source of controversy ever since it was proposed. Some people believe that it was a just and fair solution to the conflict in Palestine, while others believe that it was unfair to the Palestinians. The partition plan has also been blamed for the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.
