Why did Pizarro find a new capital in Lima Peru after defeating the Incas?

Pizarro did not establish Lima; he founded the City of Kings (Ciudad de Los Reyes) in January 1535 on the central coast of Peru in what is now Lima. There are conflicting accounts of why he chose this location. Some say he wanted to escape conflicts between his men and Indigenous people in Cajamarca, where the Incan Emperor Atahaullpa was held prisoner. Others believe Lima's strategic location made it a good center for trade and military campaigns against the Incas and other Indigenous peoples.
