Did the UN vote for Israel as a nation?

On 29th November 1947, the United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 181, which became known as the \'Partition Plan\'. This plan proposed the creation of two states, one Jewish and one Arab, in the British Mandate for Palestine. Jewish authorities accepted the resolution, while Arab authorities rejected it. The General Assembly did not vote specifically on the creation of the State of Israel, which came into being in 1948 following the withdrawal of British forces from the region.
