History of North America

Did native Americans invent shrunken heads if so was it in California?

Shrunken heads, also known as tsantsas, are associated with certain indigenous tribes in South America, particularly in the Amazon rainforest region, and not with Native Americans in California. The practice of shrinking heads originated primarily in the Ecuadorian and Peruvian Andes and was carried out by groups such as the Shuar, Achuar, and other tribes for cultural and ritualistic purposes.
