No individual person discovered England for America. The land now known as England was inhabited by various indigenous groups for thousands of years before European exploration and colonization began in the 16th century. England itself is a part of the island of Great Britain and has never been discovered for or by another country. Christopher Columbus, an Italian explorer, is credited with discovering the Americas for Europe in 1492, but he never reached England.
