History of North America

What were three northern advantages in the civil war?

1. Industrial Capacity: The North was more industrialized than the South, with more factories, mines, and transportation networks. This gave the Union an advantage in producing weapons, ammunition, and other war materiel.

2. Population: The North had a larger population than the South, which gave them a larger pool of manpower for the Union army and navy.

3. Geography: The North had more control of the Mississippi River and the major transportation routes, which allowed them to move troops, supplies, and communications more easily than the South.
