History of North America

How did hunting and gatering bands travel to Americas?

The most widely accepted theory is that the first inhabitants of the Americas, known as Paleo-Indians, crossed a land bridge known as the Bering Land Bridge, which connected Siberia to Alaska during the last Ice Age. This occurred approximately 15,000 to 13,000 years ago. As the glaciers receded at the end of the Ice Age, humans were able to follow the coastline southwards.
