History of North America

Where did most of the slaves sent to Americas originally come from?

Most slaves sent to the Americas came from West Africa. The slave trade was a major part of the Atlantic World from the 16th to the 19th centuries, and millions of people were transported from Africa to the Americas to be sold as slaves. The majority of these slaves came from West Africa, particularly from the regions of Senegambia, the Gold Coast, the Bight of Benin, and Angola.
