History of North America

Where were vikings located?

Vikings primarily came from Scandinavia, which includes present-day Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. During the Viking Age, which spanned from the 8th to the 11th centuries, Vikings ventured far beyond their homelands and established settlements and trading posts in various parts of Europe, including areas such as the British Isles, Ireland, France, and even as far as Iceland, Greenland, and North America.
