Why was the major reason why industrial revolution began?

The major reason why the industrial revolution began was the availability of abundant coal and iron ore.

Coal:

- Provided the energy to power the steam engines that drove the new machines.

- It was easily accessible and relatively cheap to mine.

- It was a compact and efficient source of energy.

Iron ore:

- Was needed to produce the machinery and tools needed for the industrial revolution.

- It was also relatively abundant and easy to mine.
