Two women who aided the cause of American Army?

* Deborah Sampson: Deborah Sampson disguised herself as a man and served in the Continental Army under the name "Robert Shurtlieff" for over a year. She fought in several battles, including the Battle of Yorktown, and was wounded twice. She was eventually discovered to be a woman, but was honorably discharged from the Army and awarded a pension.

* Lydia Darragh: Lydia Darragh was a Quaker woman who lived in Philadelphia during the Revolutionary War. She overheard a group of British officers planning a surprise attack on the American forces and warned the Americans, who were able to prepare and defeat the British. Darragh's actions are credited with saving the American Revolution.
