History of North America

Where did people from the Industrial Revolution live?

People from the Industrial Revolution lived in cities and towns, where factories were built. With large populations moving into small areas to get new jobs, it caused cities to become highly populated and crowded. Many of these people lived in housing called "tenement buildings," which were densely packed, multifamily dwellings with cramped living spaces and lack of sanitation. These living conditions resulted in poor sanitation, disease outbreaks, and many other social problems.
