The claim that the United States Constitution was written by Freemasons is baseless and does not hold historical consensus. Freemasonry was already influential and was recognized by George Washington when he became the first president of the U.S. in 1789. But there is no credible evidence proving any of the Founding Fathers being Masons. Nor there is evidence of Masons as a group participating in designing of this document.
