Why did Stalin get expelled?

1903: Joseph Stalin was first expelled from the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (RSDLP) for supporting a Georgian faction opposed to the party's leadership. However, he was soon allowed back into the party.

1907: Stalin was expelled again for failing to appear at a RSDLP congress in London, where he had been elected to the party's Central Committee. He later claimed that he had been unable to attend due to illness, but it is likely that he was actually hiding from the police.

1912: Stalin was expelled for the third time for allegedly misusing party funds. He was accused of using party money to pay for his own personal expenses, including his travels to Europe.

Each time he was expelled, Stalin would eventually be allowed back into the party, largely due to the support of Vladimir Lenin. However, his repeated expulsions showed that he was not always considered a reliable member of the party.
