History of Kushan Dynasty
In the first century AD, there was a campaign of Kushanas in this area. There is a discussion of the invasion of Pataliputra by the Kushan ruler Kanishka (78-125 AD) and taking the famous Buddhist scholar Asvaghosha with him.
