Where in Africa did Haitian come from?

Haitians are descendants of enslaved Africans brought to the island of Hispaniola by European colonizers in the 16th and 17th centuries. The majority of these enslaved Africans came from West Africa, with significant numbers originating from present-day Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Benin, Togo, and Nigeria.
