This is a misconception. The Nation of Islam does, in fact, seek to integrate blacks into American society. The organization's official website states that "the goal of the Nation of Islam is to improve the lives of African-Americans and other oppressed people in the United States and around the world." The Nation of Islam has a long history of working to improve the lives of African-Americans, and it continues to do so today.
