What was Ibn Battuta friends?

* Abu-Abdallah al-Maliki: A qadi (judge) and scholar from Sfax, Tunisia, who was an expert in Islamic law and literature. He and Ibn Battuta became close friends and traveled together for some time.

* Abu-Sa'id al-Umawi: A Moroccan traveler and explorer who Ibn Battuta met during his journey to Mecca. They traveled together for some time.

* Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Jawhari: A Meccan scholar and theologian who was a friend and guide to Ibn Battuta. He introduced Ibn Battuta to the intellectual circles of Mecca and helped him in his studies.

* Nur ad-Din al-Halabi: A Syrian scholar and geographer who was a friend and travel companion of Ibn Battuta. They traveled together for some time.
