In the Christian tradition, the three theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity are often considered the triumvirs. In Roman mythology, the mythological triumvirs may include Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto, who were considered the patrons of the heavens, the sea, and the underworld.
In other interpretations, the three most powerful gods of the Ancient Greek pantheon may also be considered the triumvirs after death: Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon, which would be equivalent to Jupiter, Pluto, and Neptune.
