History of Africa

Why was land far less fertile then the of Egypt?

The land far less fertile than the of Egypt is not true. Ancient Egypt had some of the world's most fertile soils, thanks to the annual flooding of the Nile River. The Nile deposited rich silts on the land each year, making it ideal for agriculture. In contrast, many other regions in the ancient world had less fertile soils, making it more difficult to grow crops.
