In 1939, Capone was arrested for assault and battery and was sentenced to six months in jail. After his release, he worked as a dishwasher and a busboy.
In the early 1940s, Capone was drafted into the United States Army. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his actions in combat.
After the war, Capone returned to Chicago and worked as a salesman and a bartender. He also became involved in organized crime, and he was known to associate with members of the Chicago Outfit.
In the 1950s, Capone was arrested several times for gambling and other crimes. He was also sentenced to two years in prison for extortion.
After his release from prison, Capone continued to live in Chicago. He worked as a real estate agent and a property developer. He also wrote a book about his father, Al Capone.
