Historical story

What should you do when Airman Jackson wants to punish sergeant Wilson for what he has done and know her options are?

Airman Jackson should follow these steps when wanting to punish Sergeant Wilson:

-Report the incident to her superior officer, the First Sergeant. Provide all the relevant information, including the date and time of the incident, the location, and the circumstances surrounding it.

-The First Sergeant will investigate the incident and determine if disciplinary action is warranted. If so, the First Sergeant will recommend the appropriate punishment to the Squadron Commander.

-The Squadron Commander will review the recommendation and make a decision on the punishment, if any. The punishment may range from a verbal warning to a demotion or discharge from the military.

-Airman Jackson may also seek redress through the military justice system. She can file a complaint with the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, which will investigate the incident and determine if criminal charges should be filed against Sergeant Wilson.

-If criminal charges are filed, Sergeant Wilson will be entitled to a trial by court-martial. If found guilty, Sergeant Wilson may be sentenced to confinement, forfeiture of pay, or dishonorable discharge from the military.
