How was the nullification crisis solved?

The Nullification Crisis of 1828-1832 was a political confrontation between the federal government of the United States and the government of the state of South Carolina. The crisis was sparked by the Tariff of 1828, which South Carolina considered to be unconstitutional. The crisis was ultimately resolved through several measures, including:

- The Force Bill, which authorized the President of the United States to use military force to enforce federal laws in South Carolina.

- The Compromise Tariff of 1833, which reduced the rates on many imported goods, including the goods that South Carolina had objected to.

- Public statements by President Andrew Jackson, who asserted the supremacy of the federal government and warned that secession would not be tolerated.
