What is the setting to code talker?

Code Talker is a 2017 historical war drama film directed by Jodie Foster and written by Billy Ray. It is based on the 2013 book of the same name by Chester Nez, a Navajo code talker who served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. The film stars Christian Bale as Nez, and also features Adam Beach, Wes Studi, and Noah Emmerich.

The film is set during World War II, and tells the story of the Navajo code talkers, a group of Native American men who used their native language to transmit secret messages during the war. The code was so successful that it is credited with helping the United States win the war.

The film was shot on location in New Mexico and Arizona. It was released in the United States on October 27, 2017.
