Who fought in the battle of little biggorn?

The Battle of Little Bighorn, also known as Custer's Last Stand, was fought between the United States Army and the Lakota and Northern Cheyenne Native American tribes on June 25–26, 1876, near the Little Bighorn River in the present-day state of Montana.

The opposing forces were:

United States Army:

- 7th Cavalry Regiment, led by Colonel George Armstrong Custer

- Additional troops from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment and the Crow and Shoshone scouts

Native American Tribes:

- Lakota Sioux, led by chiefs Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse

- Northern Cheyenne, led by chiefs Two Moons and Dull Knife

- Arapaho, led by chiefs Black Coal and Yellow Hand

The battle was a decisive victory for the Native American tribes, who overwhelmed Custer's forces and inflicted heavy casualties. The battle is considered one of the most significant and well-known battles in American history.
