* Settlers: Settlers from the eastern United States moved westward in search of new land, resources, and opportunities. They established new communities and farms, and helped to develop the West.
* Farmers: The fertile soil and abundant resources of the West made it ideal for farming. Farmers moved to the West and began growing crops, such as wheat, corn, and cotton, which were then shipped back east and sold for a profit.
* Businesses: Businesses in the East benefited from the increased demand for goods and services from the West. They also invested in the development of infrastructure, such as railroads, canals, and roads, which made it easier to transport goods and people between the East and the West.
* Native Americans: Native American tribes suffered greatly as a result of Manifest Destiny. They were displaced from their lands, forced to move to reservations, and often subjected to violence and mistreatment.
