When Susan B. Anthony registered to vote some said she broke the law. what was not a result of Anthonys trial?

Susan B. Anthony was arrested and put on trial for voting in the 1872 presidential election. She was convicted and fined, but she never paid the fine. The trial brought attention to the issue of women's suffrage, and it helped to build momentum for the movement.

The 14th Amendment to the US constitution, which was ratified in 1868, guaranteed equal protection under the law to all citizens, regardless of race or previous condition of servitude. This was the basis of Anthony's defense at her trial, but the judge ruled that the amendment did not apply to women, and she was convicted.
