For every age and every people its banquet: how did the Egyptians eat?
Or rather, what was their usual way of sitting “at the table ”To have your daily meals?
They sat comfortably on natural fiber mats and took their food from a very low table in front of them.
No cutlery, only hands were used to serve (a typical custom of many ancient populations).
The most consumed food among ordinary people was bread, of which there were many variations, while the most consumed drink was beer .
