The "kajal" of and of the Egyptians was made with natural ingredients
The artistic testimonies that have come down to us from Ancient Egypt, paintings and sculptures speak for themselves: eye makeup was the focal point of the elaborate make-up at the time in use.
The outline in particular was strongly accentuated by a dark and decisive stroke of a sort of "kajal ”Obtained from a mix of natural ingredients, namely soot, incense and charred almond shells .
This was the most common recipe used to maximize the gaze of women, but also of men, of Ancient Egypt.
