Over the years we have come to know them: humanities , or humanities , are the whole group of subjects that deepens man in general and the condition in which he lives, using critical and analytical tools to arrive at universal considerations.
This type of study includes general and art history, literature, pedagogy, philosophy, semiotics, visual and performing arts and psychology.
Humanities:historical background
The humanities have a very ancient history.
These studies have their roots in ancient Greece, where they were offered to young people as a fundamental path in everyone's life and as a tool for understanding society itself.
From Socrates to the Sophists, from Plato to Euripides, there are so many examples.
In Roman times, a further step was taken by elaborating the dogma of the seven liberal arts.
They consisted of the three philosophical-literary disciplines of the crossroads ( artes sermocinales :grammar, rhetoric and dialectic) and those of the crossroads, more properly associated with mathematics ( artes reales :arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy).
School in the Middle Ages
The concept was then deepened and re-proposed during the medieval period.
Literary historians, however, identify the beginning of Italian literature in the first half of the thirteenth century with the Sicilian school of Frederick II of Swabia , Holy Roman Emperor.
The first certified literary document in Italian, however, is the Canticle of Creatures by Francis of Assisi .
The humanities , which already enjoyed an excellent reputation in antiquity, then exploded within the cultural movement of humanism, who put them at the center of his philosophy, marrying their principles and developing a methodology for their application.
In this way and for this very reason many schools were born dedicated to the humanities that allowed students to be trained on all those subjects concerning humanity and society in general.
From traditional universities to telematics:the online degree in literature
The online degree in Arts represents an excellent opportunity for students and students / workers
Over the centuries, the humanities schools first developed into Academies and then in University arriving at the current structure.
The faculty and related degree in literature for a long time it has concentrated mainly on the creation of future professors of secondary schools, colleges and universities.
Today, however, it is the springboard for many careers:from publishing to marketing, from critics to cinema.
A new turning point, then, came in the early 2000s with the birth of the first telematic universities and online Bachelor of Arts classes.
Humanities were at the heart of the first degree courses designed within the online training offer.
This type of Institutes, in addition to being recognized by the MIUR and providing qualifications valid in all respects to participate in public competitions and be hired in Italian and foreign companies, offer the student the opportunity to train in the humanities and work at the same time.
In this way, the student, forced for centuries to undergo a training course before entering the profession, now has a privileged access lane to the world of work.
Revolutions are made in small steps: humanistic studies which were born as a necessary training center for young people and were in effect a rite of passage from childhood to adulthood, today still perform the same function but also offer the freedom to accelerate their path by immediately putting into practice all the teachings expertly received ( Photo from :students.it, it.wikipedia.org and punto-informatico.it).
