A World War II missile was neutralized with a controlled explosion on Wednesday morning in Ammoudara, in the sea area below the EGOH stadium, in Heraklion.
The bomb was neutralized close to the beach and with the participation of Navy frogmen.
It is noted that during the process all the necessary protection measures were taken both from land with a Coast Guard echelon that was at the scene, and from sea with a floating vessel of the service.

According to information from Cretalive, the missile was detected about a week ago, while the reaction of the Navy to neutralize it was immediate.
