What does long drive mean in a history term?

The Long Drive for Freedom was the name of the journey taken by the Indian National Congress President, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, from Wardha to Dandi in 1930, during the Indian independence movement. The event symbolized the culmination of the 185-mile (298-km) Dandi March to protest British rule in India.

Starting on 24 March and ending on 5 April, it is considered a significant event in the history of India's struggle for independence. The march covered five districts and lasted for 10 days, with approximately 75,000 people participating. The march also aimed to promote the use of indigenous products and reduce reliance on British-made goods.
