Second grade: Second grade is the second year of elementary school and builds upon the skills that were learned in first grade. Students continue to develop their reading, writing, and math skills, and they also begin to learn about more complex topics in science and social studies.
Third grade: Third grade is the third year of elementary school and is a transitional year for many students. In addition to continuing to develop their basic skills, students begin to focus more on critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They also learn about more challenging topics in science and social studies.
Fourth grade: Fourth grade is the fourth year of elementary school and is the final year before students move on to middle school. During this year, students continue to develop their basic skills and also focus on preparing for the transition to middle school. They learn about more advanced topics in science and social studies, and they also begin to learn more about themselves and their place in the world.
