Kennedy was assassinated by who?

John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Lee Harvey Oswald, a former U.S. Marine who held leftist political views, is generally recognized as the lone gunman who killed Kennedy from the Texas School Book Depository as the president's motorcade passed by. However, various conspiracy theories persist, suggesting the involvement of additional shooters or a broader conspiracy. Oswald was arrested within two days of the assassination but was himself killed two days later, while in police custody, by Jack Ruby, a local nightclub owner, before facing trial.
