Where did the story of Saint Nicholas originally come from and what they call him?

The story of Saint Nicholas originated from the life and legend of Saint Nicholas of Myra, a 4th-century Greek Christian saint and Bishop of Myra in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey). He was known for his generosity, kindness, and compassion, and was especially remembered for giving gifts to the poor and needy. Over time, his legend grew and spread throughout Europe, and he eventually became known as Santa Claus, Father Christmas, or Saint Nick in different countries and regions.
