Who is in charge of printing money?

The central bank of a country is usually responsible for printing money. In the United States, for example, the Federal Reserve is in charge of printing money; in the United Kingdom, it is the Bank of England; and in the Eurozone, it is the European Central Bank. Central banks are responsible for regulating the money supply and controlling inflation, so they are the logical choices to also be in charge of printing money.
