The descendants of Rao Jodha established many independent states in India. Most of these states continued till the time of integration of the princely states after India got independence in 1947.
Bikaner:The son of Rao Jodha, the second generation prince Bika, established the new Bikaner state on the orders of his father.
Bidawati:The son of Rao Jodha was given to Prince Bida, Jodha and Bika won the kingdom of Mohilwati, which was called Bidawati. It remained an independent state during the lifetime of Jodha and Bika but later merged with Bikaner State.
Merta:Rao Jodha gave the jagir of Merta to Varsingh and Duda, but later Varsingh sent Duda to Rayan. Duda stayed in Rayan for a few days but from there went to Bikaner with his elder brother Bika. In the time of Jodha's son Suja, Varasingha died and Varasingha's son Siha became the lord of Merta. Siha was unfit and intoxicated with alcohol. Therefore Rao Duda came to Merta from Bikaner and removed Siha and himself became independent ruler of Merta. During the time of Rao Maldev, Merta state was included in Jodhpur state.
Jhabua:The descendants of Jodha's son Varasingha, who was appointed by Jodha on the jagir of Merta, established the state of Jhabua in the Malwa region.
Amjhera:Rao Rama of the sixth generation of Jodha, who was the son of Rao Maldev, established the kingdom of Amjhera. Bakhtawar Singh, the ruler of Amjhera, supported the revolutionary soldiers in the first freedom struggle in 1857. That's why this state was given to Scindia.
Kishangarh:The eighth generation prince of Jodha, Kishan Singh, who was the son of Mota Raja Udai Singh, founded the kingdom of Kishangarh.
Ratlam:The ninth generation prince of Jodha, Rao Ratan Singh established the kingdom of Ratlam.
Sitamau:The princes of Ratlam's branch established the kingdom of Sita Mau.
Sailana:The princes of the Ratlam branch established the kingdom of Sailana.
Nagaur:Rao Amar Singh, the tenth generation prince of Rao Jodha, established a separate and independent Nagaur state from the Jodhpur state. During the time of Maharaja Ajit Singh, Nagaur State was again included in Jodhpur State.
Nagaur:Rajadhiraj Bakhtsingh, the twelfth generation prince of Rao Jodha, established the semi-independent Nagaur state out of the Jodhpur state, which joined the Jodhpur state when Bakhtsingh himself became the king of Jodhpur.
Rupangarh:Prince Sardar Singh, son of Sawant Singh, a descendant of Jodha, established a separate Rupangarh state from the state of Kishangarh. Later, during the time of Bird Singh, this state was again included in the state of Kishangarh.
Eider:The kingdom of Eider was originally founded by Soning, the son of Siha. During the time of Jodhpur king Abhay Singh, the Mughal emperor gave the kingdom of Idar to Abhay Singh. Abhay Singh's brother Anand Singh, dissatisfied with Abhay Singh, took control of Idar State and restored Idar State.
