Was the Rosetta stone found in great pyramid of Giza?

The Rosetta stone was not found in the Great Pyramid of Giza. It was discovered in 1799 by Pierre-François Bouchard, a French soldier, in the town of Rosetta (Rashid), Egypt. The stone is a fragment of a larger stele, which was inscribed with three versions of a decree issued by a council of priests in Memphis, Egypt, in 196 BC. These versions are in Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, Demotic script, and Ancient Greek. The Greek text allowed scholars to decipher the Egyptian hieroglyphs, thus unlocking the secrets of ancient Egyptian writing.
