General Condition

The condition of the area is a floodplain. The north side of the temple is adjacent to the Rural Road 5031, the south side is adjacent to the Khok Kham-Sandap Road. On the east side, next to Khlong Khok Kham On the west side, adjacent to the Rural Road SorKhor.5031, confluence with Khok Kham-San Dab Road. The temple area is 58 rai, 2 ngan, 350 meters south of the Mahachai Canal.

Wat Khok Kham is now a Rat temple. Under the Maha Nikaya, established in 1679 B.E., built in the late Ayutthaya period. (Buddhist Religious Sites Division, 2002:11) There is evidence of important structures consisting of

Ubosot It is a brick building. The roof of the woodwork is reduced to 2 floors, colored tiled roofs, 2 per floor, with a bouquet of carved leaves. The front of the Ubosot was later renovated by Phrakhru Mahachai Borirak. Priest of Mueang Samut Sakhon Make a porch protruding into 1 room with 2 square cement pillars supporting the roof structure. The gable of the porch is carved out of wood depicting a bird, a bat, and two dragons perched and creeping among the trees. Below is a square stencil. The pattern of this gable was influenced by Chinese art. The front has 2 entrance doors, the back is solid, the side walls on both sides have 3 windows on each side. The shutters are painted red. Inside the Ubosot enshrines a stucco Buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara. Standing and sitting Buddha images showing various postures, late Ayutthaya-early Rattanakosin art Surrounding the Ubosot is a glass wall made of bricks and mortar. In front of the Ubosot are 2 round bell-shaped chedi, damaged and missing. Within the Kamphaeng Kaeo area, there is a red sandstone parapet located on a masonry base. This Ubosot is assumed to be built in the late Ayutthaya period. and has been restored in the Rattanakosin era (The Fine Arts Office No. 1, Ratchaburi 2010 :56-57)

Buddha statue The villagers called "Luang Por Samrit" is a Buddha image with Buddhist art similar to Phra Buddha Sihing. At the base there is an inscription which has been read by qualified people. It reads, "Buddha A.D. 2232, the Sa and the 1st and 25th of the month, Thursday, the 10th waxing moon, the 8th lunar month, the Year of the Horse, Tosaka, Phraya Mechai has established this Buddha Sihing as 37 gold. Chang, be a factor for nirvana" which the year 2232 B.E. corresponds to the reign of Phra Petracha (B.E. 2231-2246) (The Fine Arts Office No. 1, Ratchaburi 2010 :57)

The Hall of Worship It looks like a pavilion with a raised platform. The roof is shingle with colored clay tiles. stairway up brick There is a small building built across the east side.
