Another interesting archaeological discovery was made there around from Omsk, Siberia. It is an armor made of bones. The artifact is, according to estimates, between 3,500 and 3,900 years old and was actually found in an excavation of a construction site for a future hotel on the banks of the Irtysh River. It is speculated that the armor was a gift, a trade item or even a spoils of war – and, of course, it was a tool belonging to a warrior.
Russian researchers had never found anything similar before and the find may have belonged to an individual from the Samus-Seyminskaya culture, who lived in the region at the time attributed to the piece. The bones used in the making of the armor may have been elk, deer or horse and it was quite functional, allowing relative safety against blows from weapons used in the period.
The hotel will need more time to complete, as there are strong indications that many other things can still be discovered in the surroundings.
