The cult of personality of Stalin, one of the greatest murderers in human history, had reached unbelievable levels. In fact, Stalin was worshiped by the Soviets and other communists around the world as an earthly "god", or at least that's what they had to show.
Everything went through him, everything had his stamp. He never made mistakes, he was a "marshal", he was a "theoretician of socialism", he was the perfect man... The blood of millions was an inconvenient detail which his worshipers forgot because they loved their head, but their blind obedience to Stalin did not ensure it in the end.
The millions lost by the deliberate famine in Ukraine, the "purges", the gulags, the mock trials, all erased for the great "marshal" , who, as the actor who plays General Chuikov says, was always by the side of the Red Army men during the war!!! The criminal mistakes in the handling of the Soviet forces at the beginning of the "Barbarossa" operation, which cost millions dead, wounded and prisoners, were also forgotten.
The USSR suffered terrible losses during the war. However, a large part of them would have been spared if the "all-wise" Stalin had not made the apprentice general. His ally, initially, Hitler did the same with the known results.
The video below, taken from a 1950 Soviet film, is one of the most characteristic examples of the paranoia of personality worship for the dictator, but also of the perfect falsification of history for "the masses". It shows Stalin visiting the Soviet soldiers immediately after the surrender of Berlin at an undamaged airfield where he is also greeted by German concentration camp inmates in their distinctive striped overalls! . Of course Stalin NEVER he went to Berlin, especially not just after the battle.
Stalin gets off the plane and congratulatesone by one General Chuikov, commander of the 8th Guards Army, Marshal Koniev and Marshal Rokosovsky , commanders of the Soviet forces south and north, respectively, of Berlin, but have already fallen out of favor Soviet commander who, in spite of his mistakes and disregard for the lives of his men, took Berlin and saved Stalin's chair from in 1941,Marshal Zhukov is just nowhere to be found...
Should the fate of Soviet prisoners or German prisoners who were "liberated" by their compatriots be mentioned? Most went for a change of environment in exotic Siberia as there was no justification for living… they should have died fighting. Since they did not die they were traitors!
The constant "psalms" of worship for Stalin as if he were the Divine Incarnation also make an impression. The funny thing is that the "socialist" system imposed atheism because religion was the "opium of the people", while incense on a man, his entirely religious treatment, was considered something perfectly legitimate... Essentially, the "socialist" regime was not a regime of atheism, it simply had another "god", wicked, violent and murdering millions, just as the Nazi regime deified another fanatic fool who bled the whole Earth.
