Isauria , old Binnen Kreis south-central Anatolia . Its inhabitants, a hill tribe described by Greco-Roman authors as warlike and uncivilized, were conquered by the Roman general Publius Servilius Vatia "Isauricus" in a three-year campaign, 76–74 v .
