Editorial of the newspaper "Der Stürmer"

Der Stürmer , the Assaulter, was without a doubt the most openly anti-Semitic National Socialist propaganda newspaper and the least hesitant to bring the Nazi party's ideology closer to the German population. The newspaper, full of satirical images and jokes in bad taste, shocked the majority of the adult population, but children and adolescents, its main recipients, received it with open arms.

The weekly reached its maximum circulation in 1938 when up to half a million copies of each edition were sold.

The last edition of the weekly was printed on February 1, 1945, a few months before the defeat of Nazi Germany.
