Wat That Noi or Wat Noi an abandoned ancient site Condition before digging into a mound There appears to be a large hole from illegally digging for antiquities.

The Department of Fine Arts conducted an excavation study of the ancient site of Wat That Noi in 1985 (Department of Fine Arts 2005 :80). Found information of ancient monuments and antiquities as follows:

The archaeological site of Wat That Noi consists of a chedi, a viharn, a rectangular altar.

Architectural features

1. Vihara is a temple hall in a rectangular plan. Facing east, bricks, plastered with white plaster, 2 parts in front, 1 part in the back is a room enshrining the principal Buddha image. Found a stucco pattern adorning the castle facade at the base of Chukchi, such as Gu Jock Pok Temple.

Inside the viharn consists of 6 pairs of circular columns, the base of which is made of laterite. The bricks are stacked on top of each other. wooden roof structure thatched with clay tiles There is a staircase at the front and one small staircase on the west.

from the study Found a groove around the construction of the temple overlapping at least 1 time, in the last time, bricks were added to the side walls of the castle facade to be thicker. Build a small Chukchi base to the left of the castle facade and 1 altar.

2. Chedi, found only the base of the chopping board in the square plan. stacked on a large cutting board base (Plataksin base) from which many stucco sculptures were found, including images of angels, giants carrying nagas, swans, Kinnaree, and decorative patterns around the pagoda frame. therefore assumed that Chedi Wat That Noi is probably a castle-shaped chedi where each side of Ruen That has an arch for Buddha images. and the walls of the Ruenthat are decorated with stucco designs in the style of Wat Photharam Maha Viharn (Wat Chet Yot), Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province
