Did England have another flag before the st flag?

The Kingdom of England did have several flags before the current version of the Union Jack, which was adopted in 1801. The most notable of these was the Flag of England, which featured a white cross on a red background. This flag was first used in the 12th century and remained the official flag of England until the Acts of Union in 1707, when it was combined with the Flag of Scotland to create the Union Flag.
